Building a welcoming Amateur Radio community in Augusta, Georgia and the CSRA.
CQ Pride Augusta is an LGBTQIA+ friendly Amateur Radio club for licensed operators, allies, and newcomers. We focus on practical on-air activity, learning-by-doing, and a respectful environment where people can enjoy the hobby and grow their skills.
Our mission
To grow an active, inclusive Amateur Radio community where LGBTQIA+ operators and allies can connect, learn, and serve—while helping newcomers take their first steps into the hobby.
What we believe makes a good club
- Welcoming by design: A respectful tone on the air and in person.
- Practical learning: Help with radios, antennas, repeaters, and operating basics.
- On-air activity: Nets and events that make it easy to participate.
- Community-minded: Encouraging preparedness, public service, and good operating practices.
